The lecturing is mainly aimed at developing individual interests within the area of assessment. The assessments of the course contain multiple fields of the profession such as studio and acoustic design, advanced recording techniques, hardware and software processing, etc. I have an interest in the technical aspect of the topic such as studio structure and sound isolation design, hardware signal flow, or software audio processing.
Study on acoustic prediction and simulation software such as I Simpa, INSUL, or ODEON is the main interest for my final major project. I found myself enjoying sunken-deep research about the field of acoustic. Therefore, the passion I have for acoustic and noise control highly motivated me to start my career path as an acoustic consultant.

Febuary 2024 - Present
Music Technician (Part Time) at Harrow School
After going through job hunting for six month, I finally got a position at Harrow School as a music technician. The position is part time at the moment and have a flexible working hours. The main duty is recording the boys performance and concert which the school held the concert for the boys roughly 90 events each year. The recorded audio and video is edited and mix the meet the standard before uploaded to school cloud. Aside from recording and post production, maintenancing and fixing the equipment for the music department is another main duty as music technician. Its only been 2 weeks after I start a job. I still want to take some time

Music and Sound Freelancer
I started freelancing during the third year of my bachelor’s degree. This freelancing includes various kinds of projects including studio recording, mixing and mastering, field recording, sound editing and restoration, sound design, and score composing. The project was not scoped only for music but also film and advertisement. Also, as a bassist, some gig session was done along with the post-production position.

Research and Developer Internship at ARC Custom
(ASTRON INNOVATION CO., LTD.)
Custom In-Ear Monitors (CIEMs) are the main product that I have researched and developed during my internship in ARC Custom. The development is based on experimental on multiple setups which include the acoustic and electronic aspects. The CIEMs with 4 and 6 drivers were the product that I was assigned to develop. This product includes electronic components such as a resistor and transistor for the circuit and acoustic filter. The result was taken by measuring the frequency response, phase difference, and listening test.
Alongside the R&D part, I have a chance to work in multiple positions in the company since the size of the company was still small at that time. Marketing and product design was one of them. It focused on developing new products according to the research on the market ocean and target group. Also, human resource management and recruiting were the positions where I develop many analysis skills. I have a chance to do the first step of recruiting and qualification. An understanding of the recruiting methods, criteria, and company specifications is aquired.

During the last year of my bachelor’s degree, I was elected as conductor of the band. The conductor position has many responsibilities and almost be the head of the band alongside the band president. The task of the conductor is listed below

- Song selection
- Song arrangement
- Practice session leading
- Stage planning
- etc.
This was the time that my skill (both soft and hard) were exponentially developed since the position included multiples task. Also, all these tasks were done along with my senior project in the final year of my bachelor’s degree which was extremely challenging for my time management, decision-making skill, and Multi-tasking skill. Moreover, working underpressure and deadlines is one of the factors that increase the difficulty of this position.

The responsibilities of the vice president were mostly human resource management. Recruiting new members and qualifying the applicant was one of the biggest roles. I have to handle various types of people and united them to work together as a whole band which not only included musicians but also a vocalist, master of ceremonies, public relations, and light & sound department.

Since my passion for music started to grow in me, I decided to audition for a bassist position in a university big band called ‘CU Band’. The band has more than 30 live performance events per year including various types of listeners from street markets to formal events such as weddings, concerts, or royal fairs. All of these events were held during the academic years. Therefore, my responsibilities and time management were highly developed from being a member of the CU Band. Moreover, my understanding of live sound systems such as signal flow, monitoring, and cable management was also developed due to the stage set up of the band always being done by the members.

Getting to know me more
Hi, I’m Kintaro a 23 years old Acoustic Engineer, Mix and Mastering Engineer, and Bassist from Thailand. This portfolio is the collection of my journey through the realm called ‘music’. Even though what you see in this collection started a few years ago, my journey begin long before. From a young age, I was forced to learn piano as usual for all Asian families. At that time, I hate music. But yeah, a kid is a kid. As I’m growing up, my passion for music started to develop. From a trombonist in a high school marching band, started playing bass just for fun, to a bassist in a university big band.
Music always be my hobby since I found joy and peace in it. From high schooler to a bachelor’s degree engineering student, the seriousness of music began to affect many parts of my life. It is challenging to maintain the pace of studying along with the activities that I enjoy like music. However, as time goes by, I started to adapt and manage my time wisely and I end up being addicted to music, unconsciously. I realize that I cannot live without music. More precisely, I needed music to continue living. So, my journey for this career path begins.
After I spend a year in a music technology course for my master’s degree, I found out that I love making music but do not have confidence in it. I enjoy mixing, producing, or performing music, but as time goes by, I don’t feel like my confidence is building up along with my skill. However, my passion and confidence in acoustic analysis and noise control started to grow. This is the beginning of my new journey of building my career path as an acoustic consultant.
